Welcome to Twig! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Twig (“we,” “our,” “us”) that govern your access to and use of our website, tools, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By using Twig, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.

1. Who we are

Twig (twig.io) provides a collection of tools to help writers. Some features use artificial intelligence (“AI”), but not all.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Twig. If you are under 18, you should only use the Services with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

3. Accounts

You don’t need an account to use Twig, but some features may require one. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Payments

Twig may offer one-time purchases, subscriptions, and free trials. By making a payment, you agree to the pricing and terms presented at checkout. Future subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation policies will be described at the time of purchase.

5. Your content

  • Ownership: You own all content you create using Twig.
  • Hosting: Your content may be hosted on unique, unlisted URLs that you can share. You control whether to delete, restrict, or share this content.
  • License to us: We only use your content as needed to operate the Services (e.g. hosting, displaying to you or people you share links with). We won’t publish your content publicly without your permission.
  • No AI training: We will never use your content to train AI models. Your writing is private and stays under your control.

6. Use of AI

AI-powered features may generate inaccurate, biased, or unexpected results. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content. Twig does not provide professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.), and you should not rely on AI outputs for such purposes.

7. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use Twig to:

  • Break the law or infringe others’ rights.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Upload or share malicious code or attempt to hack our systems.
  • Abuse billing systems.
  • Share content that is pornographic, extremely violent, or otherwise harmful.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion if we believe someone is acting as a “bad actor” or abusing the Services. If your account is suspended, we will make reasonable efforts to let you recover your content.

8. Termination

You may stop using Twig’s Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Services, or act in bad faith.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Twig is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Services will always be available, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Twig will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Services.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.

11. Privacy

Your use of Twig is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use personal information.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting on our website). Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
